Potters Win Series Against Pickles

With the help of Josh Cooper on the mound, the Potters beat the Pickles 5-1 in their last match-up of the season.

Cooper pitched eighth innings while only allowing one run on five hits, walking one and striking out four.

The action didn't start until the bottom of the second when the Potters scored two runs. With an RBI single by Elijah Garcia, Braden De Benedictis scored the first run of the game. Immediately after, Kyle Selor hit an RBI single to score Mason Allen. And in the bottom of the third Charles Middleton added to the Potters' offense hitting an RBI single to score Jake Boyd.

The Pickles managed to get one run in the top of the sixth but the Potters answered back adding two more insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth. Selor managed to get himself a run and Zach Hoffman also added to the score with run, making the score 5-1.

The Potters won the series 2-1 and improve to 32-18 on the season. The Potters start their series against the Medford Rogues tonight at McBean Stadium with first pitch at 7:05 pm.
