The Potters won in walk-off fashion last night thanks to Kyle Selor’s RBI in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Portland Pickles, 9-8.

Selor went 2-for-3 on the night with two RBIs and a run scored. Adding to the Potters’ nine runs was Zach Hoffman who hit a three-run home run and went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Zach Hall who went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored and Braden De Benedictis who went 2-for-5 with an RBI.

On the mound Kenneth Pettibone had another strong start pitching seven innings while allowing three runs on nine hits, walking two and striking out four but it wasn’t enough to get him the win. However, Jacob Gomez got his fourth win of the season last night.

The Potters (31-18) have clinched a spot in the playoffs alongside the Medford Rogues. The Potters remain four games back of the Rogues in second place with the Chico Heat following closely behind in third place. The Potters return to McBean Stadium tonight with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. in the series finale against the Portland Pickles.
