PRESS RELEASE:  July 17, 2017, Portland, Oregon - The Great West League's All-Star Game is just one week away and the 2017 All-Star Team is now official, as announced today by GWL Commissioner Ken Wilson.

The league's premier in-season event is being hosted by the Chico Heat and will pit the All-Star Team against the Heat at Nettleton Stadium in Chico, California on Monday, July 24.  First pitch is set for 7:05 pm.  A Home Run Hitting Contest will precede the game, starting at 5:15 pm.

The All-Star Team will be managed by Medford Rogues manager Josh Hogan. He'll be assisted by his coaches with the Rogues, Jeff Lyle and Christian Coronado.

The Lincoln Potters lead the way with eight players on the All-Star Team.  Seven players were unanimous selections in the voting by the league managers.  They are Zander Clarke (1B) and Josh Hendrickson (Pitcher) of the Portland Pickles, Isiah Garcia (2B) and Zach Hall (OF) of the Lincoln Potters, Chris Daddario (Pitcher) and Noah Sills (Pitcher) of the Marysville Gold Sox, and Dylan Pierce (Pitcher) of the Medford Rogues.  Sills will not be available for the All-Star Game, as he has been shutdown for the season.

"General Manager Hunter Hampton and his staff have a great show planned," noted GWL Commissioner Ken Wilson.  "They've all worked very hard putting all the details together.  We're thrilled to showcase the players having a big season and our top prospects in the great setting of Nettleton Stadium."
