Potters Sweep A's and Pick Up 13th Straight Win

The Lincoln Potters extended their win streak to 13 with their 11-4 victory over the Fresno A’s thanks to a big 5th inning. The Potters (14-1) scored 6 runs in the 5th inning. Hits by Will Linberg, Hasani Johnson, Jake Tandy and Jacob Doyle, plus a sacrifice fly by Cade Parker drove in the 6 runs to break open a 2-run game and extend the Potters lead to 10-2.

Raising Cane’s player of the game, Jacob Doyle, went 3-3 with 3 RBI which included his 2 RBI triple in the 3rd inning to not only put the Potters on the board but also take the 2-1 lead. A wild pitch then scored Doyle to put the Potters up 3-1.

The Potters had a total of 11 hits tonight including a double by Parker and an RBI single by Tandy which put Lincoln up 4-1 in the 4th.

The Potters had 4 guys on the mound tonight, Anthony Martinez, Gerald Hanson, Jake McKowen and Evan Odin. They combined for a total of 15 strikeouts and 7 hits.

The Potters take a day break before they are back at McBean Stadium on Orange Friday to kick off their two-game series against the Bercovich Honors. It is also School Staff Appreciation Night. All school staff members are able to get free tickets. First pitch is at 6:35 pm. Potter Up!
