A Slugging Seventh Gives Potters 10th Straight Win

The Lincoln Potters broke a tied game wide open with 7 runs in the seventh inning of their 9-2 win over the San Francisco Seals to extend their win streak to 10. The 7 runs came off of a grand slam by Raising Cane’s player of the game JT Waldon, followed by a 3-run home run by Cade Parker.

Parker was also responsible for the Potters first run of the game when he hit a standup triple to drive in Andrew Sloan who had singled, tying the game 1-1 in the 4th.

For the second day in a row, JR Freethy had a stand up triple of his own and then scored thanks to an RBI groundout by Cole Eaton to tie the game 2-2 in the 5th.

The Potters pitching staff also had a day with Ryan Castillo, Logan Bell, Micah Marquez, Gabe Maya and Nolan Thebiay only giving up two runs on seven hits.

The Potters (12-1) take a day break before they are back at McBean Stadium on Tuesday, June 11 to host the Fresno A’s. Join us on 2-fer Tuesday for half off Loomis Basin Brew.
