McBean Stadium was rocking on Friday for Opening Night, with an attendance of 1,454. Anthony Perez (Cal State East Bay) set the tone early, with four scoreless innings, zero walks and five strikeouts, which put him in line for the win. 

Perez was able to escape a jam in the 1st inning, thanks in part to a beautifully turned double play by SS JT Maloney (Sac City) and 2B Cade Sanchez (Texas A&M Corpus Christi). 

The Potters bats came to life quickly in the second inning, starting with a double down the line from Brandon Springer (William Jessup). Landon Weiss (William Jessup), who got the call from first year manager Jon Peters to join the Potters three days prior to Opening Night, got the scoring started with an RBI single to center field, knocking in his William Jessup teammate. Cade Sanchez followed with a two-run single to extend the Potters lead to 4-0 after two innings. 

The bullpen picked up right where Perez left off. Logan Bell (Bowling Green State) went two innings, notching three strikeouts, and allowing one unearned run, on an error by LF Zack Malone (Sacramento State), which plated the Knicks second run of the game. 

Following the error, Bell found himself in a tight situation. With the help of 1,454 energetic Potter fans, he was able to record a crucial strikeout of Joey Taddie to end the inning. 

Peyton Stumbo (UNR) closed it out for the Potters with two scoreless innings, striking out four. Stumbo earned the save as well, resulting in a final score of 5-2. 

The Potters take game one of the three-game series with the Novato Knicks, and will take the field again tomorrow at 6:05 PM @ McBean Stadium for Strikeout Cancer Night with fireworks after the game.

Potters Announce 2023 Schedule and VIP Group Night Sales


Lincoln, CA— The Lincoln Potters have released the schedule for their 100th Anniversary Season while also opening up VIP Group Night sales in the Kiln.


The Potters are excited to celebrate their 100th Anniversary Season with their fans at all 32 home games this summer!

The Potters are coming off a 2022 West Coast World Series Championship and have their eyes set on capturing their first California Collegiate League crown in 2023. The 2023 campaign will feature 32 home and 22 road games. Lincoln will play a total of 35 league games against the Healdsburg Prune Packers, Solano Mudcats, Walnut Creek Crawdads, and Sonoma Stompers, including 17 at home and 18 on the road. 


The Potters schedule will once again feature a difficult non-league slate of games, with home contests scheduled against the Alameda Merchants, Danville IronHorse, East Bay Admirals, Menlo Park Legends, Novato Knicks, Sacramento Yankees, and the West Coast Kings. Additionally, the Potters will make a trip up North to play rival Medford Rogues for a 3-game series in July.


Fan Fest will be back again this year! The FREE event will take place on Thursday, May 25. The Potters will play a short scrimmage and be available for autographs down on the field followed by live music courtesy of The Rockstar Music Academy.


Opening Night, presented by Gladding-McBean, on Friday, May 26 will commence the Potters seventh season at Historic McBean Stadium.


The Potters will once again be hosting the West Coast World Series August 8-11.


Gates will open one hour before the start of each game with all night games starting at 6:35pm and two Sunday Day Games (May 28, June 4) beginning at 1:05pm. The six fireworks games on May 27, May 17, July 1, July 15, and July 28 will begin at 6:05pm.


A full promotional schedule will be released in advance of single-game tickets going on sale Monday, March 20th.
