The Lincoln Potters made a dramatic comeback in Friday night’s come from behind win against the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox. The Potters once again got on the board early after a solo shot by Trace Willhoite in the second inning. They would add another in the third to stretch the lead to 2-0. The Gold Sox would put together strong fourth and fifth innings to pull ahead 7-2. Lincoln would rally late putting up 8 runs in their final two innings at the plate to secure the 10-7 victory.

Starter Bradley Wilcott went 4 innings and struck out 4 while only accounting for 2 earned runs. Brandon Gomez entered the game in the sixth inning and shut down the Gold Sox bats for 3 innings to earn the win on the night. Gomez only allowed one hit and no runs in his Potters Debut. In perhaps the best story of the night, cancer survivor Josh Cohen entered the game in the 9th to close out the Gold Sox and earn the save.

Quinton Hall again impressed at the plate tonight, going 4 for 5 and adding 4 RBI to his season total, including driving in the two winning runs in the bottom of the 8th. Hall is currently batting .818 with 11 RBI on the season. Kade Turnage, Matt Voelker, and Trace Willhoite added additional success for the Potters at the plate.

The Potters are back in action tomorrow night as they welcome back the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox to McBean for game three of the four game opening series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05pm for Seltzer Saturday sponsered by Basic Hard Seltzer.
