Potters Get First Loss of the Season

The Portland Pickles had nine hits to support their ten runs last night beating the Potters, 10-1.

The Potters offense struggled to get their bats going, ending the night with only five hits.

Zach Hoffman was the only Potter with an RBI going 2-for-4. Jacob Allen scored the solo run going 1-for-2. Also getting in on the offensive action was Joseph Torres who went 1-for-3 and Mason Allen who went 1-for-2.

Ben Swartz got the start for the Potters pitching only three innings while allowing three hits, three runs, five walks and striking out one. Also pitching for the Potters were Jake Parent, who pitched two innings also allowing three hits and three runs, two walks and striking out one, and Travis Parker who pitched one inning allowing two hits, two runs, one walk and striking out two.

The Potters travel to Chico for two games where they will play the Heat. The Potters and Heat are currently tied for first place in the Great West League, both with records of 5-1.
