Potters Walk-Off Packers for 5th straight winPotters walk-off the rival Prune Packers for their 5th win in a row. The Potters got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st and then both teams scored 2 runs in the third each. The Packers would tie the game at 3 in the 4th inning and the score would remain there till the 6th inning. Jorge Bojorquez doubled home two runs in the 6th to give the Potters the lead. After another Potters run came across to score, Nathan Martorella hit a 2-run home run to give the Potters their largest lead of the night. However, the Packers were not willing to go down without a fight. Healdsburg responded with 4 runs of their own to cut the lead to 1 run. After a scoreless inning from Lincoln, the Packers scored 3 more runs to make it 10-8. Down to their final 3 outs, the Potters began their rally back-to-back hit by pitches. Keshawn Ogans would cut the lead to 1 run and Jorge Bojorquez would tie the game setting it up for Daniel Susac with the winning run on third. Susac was not needed in this game however, as a Buffington would score the winning run on a wild pitch giving the Potters an 11-10 win. The Potters walk-off win helps them improve to 9-2 on the young season. Jorge Bojorquez went 4-6 with 3 RBI on the night for the Potters out of the lead off spot. Bojorquez has been seeing the ball well recently and has been steady hand near the top of the lineup this season. The Potters top of the lineup had 9 of the 15 Potters hits in the game. Susac 3 hits and a walk and Middleton had 2 hits and a walk as well. Potters offense has scored more than 8 runs in every game but one this season as the offense has been clicking early in the season. The Potters got some solid bullpen work from Radd Thomas who struckout 3 in his one inning of work, and Potters closer Cody Jensen who helped keep the Potters in the game with an inning and 2/3 of work with 2 strikeouts.
