Potters Announce New Addition
LINCOLN, Calif. – The Lincoln Potters family is growing with the addition of Cleatus the Goat as the newest member of the team.
Cleatus, like Piper the Peacock, is a long-time Lincoln native. He originally came to the area as part of the City of Lincoln’s Goat Grazing Initiative. Shortly after retiring three years ago he has been seen frequenting local watering holes such as GoatHouse Brewing Co. and Dueling Dogs Brewing Co. where he loves to talk Potters baseball.
Cleatus has become a huge fan of the Potters over the last three seasons, and as much as he loves listening to Phantom and Stones McCoy call the games on Potters Radio, he’s ready to get a taste of the action at Historic McBean Stadium.
As the Potters’ biggest fan, he promises to bring a ton of energy to the games and not drink too many beers on the job. It has been said he can be quite the heckler after tossing back a few cold ones. Visiting teams will undoubtedly dread when Cleatus makes an appearance, especially the Goat Batter.
“Baaah, Baaah!” exclaimed Cleatus. “Baaah, Baaah, Baaah.” he later added.
The Potters and Cleatus agreed to a 3-year mascot deal, however the details of the deal have not been made public. Rumor has it, at past jobs, he has been willing to work for beer.
Cleatus and Piper immediately become one of the best mascot tandems in all of sports and have a surprise announcement in the coming days.
