POTTERS RELEASE INAUGURAL SEASON ROSTER
Lincoln, Calif. - The 2017 Lincoln Potters roster has been released and includes 11 players from the local Sacramento area. The inaugural season’s squad is made up of three Lincolnites and players from six different states.
Manager Eric Bloom has signed 16 pitchers, four outfielders, six infielders, and three catchers to complete the Opening Day roster.
Highlighting the local products are brothers Isaiah and Elijah Garcia, and Jacob Gomez. The Garcia brothers are currently at Sierra College where Isaiah plays second base and Elijah is a redshirt catcher. Gomez is a right-handed pitcher and is finishing up his junior season at Indiana Tech.
Also hailing from the local area are switch-pitcher Marcus Garcia (Roseville, CA), right-handed pitchers Nolan Boggini (El Dorado Hills, CA) and Matt Steindorf (Granite Bay, CA) who both play at Willamette University, left-handed pitcher Aidan Kearney (Granite Bay, CA) of San Francisco State University, catcher Mason Allen (Sacramento, CA) of Folsom Lake College, infielder Joseph Torres (Rocklin, CA) of William Jessup University, and outfielder Zachary Hall (Granite Bay, CA) who is currently at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.
There are five players from manager Eric Bloom’s alma mater, Colorado State University - Pueblo. Those players include right-handed pitcher Nick Gendian (Tarzana, CA), left-handed pitcher Gilbert Sauceda (Indio, CA), catcher Ambrose Romero (Albuquerque, NM), infielder Jake Boyd (Bloffdale, UT), and outfielder Zach Hoffman (South Jordan, UT).
Additionally, the Potters have added righty pitchers Christopher Kovach and Adrian Rodriguez from LA Pierce College outside of Los Angeles, where Bloom coached for three seasons.
The remaining pitchers on staff are righties Nathan Gilman (Chino Hills, CA) of Willamette University, Blake Hearn (Olathe, KS) who will be enrolling at Hutchison Community College in the fall, Jonathan Lavallee (Simi Valley), Travis Parker (Aurora, CO) of Utah Valley State University, Kenneth Pettibone (Anaheim, CA) of Cypress College, Hector Sepulveda (Douglas, AZ), and Brett Swartz (Huntington, CA) of Arizona Christian University.
Rounding out the position players are infielders Will Law (La Jolla, CA) from San Diego Mesa College, Derek Molina (Atwater, CA) out of Merced College, Kyle Selor (San Francisco, CA) of University of California - San Diego, and outfielders Jacob Allen (Oro Valley, AZ) who has committed to California State University - San Bernardino and Max Mehlbaum (Sherman Oaks, CA) of Furman University.

LINCOLN POTTERS FAN FEST AND HOME OPENER
The free Potters Fan Fest will kick-off the season on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. at McBean Stadium in downtown Lincoln. The Fan Fest includes an intrasquad scrimmage followed by a meet and greet and autograph session with the players on the field.
Opening Night presented by Gladding, McBean on Thursday, June 1 will commence the Potters’ inaugural Great West League season against historic rival, the Marysville Gold Sox.
PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
Highlighting this season’s promotions are five Fireworks Nights (June 1, June 10, July 4, July 15, and July 29) including Opening Night on June 1, Star Wars Night on June 10, Independence Day Celebration on July 4, Superhero/Public Safety Night on July 15, and Feather Falls Brewing Company Fireworks Night on July 29.
The Potters also have scheduled four premium giveaway nights, including seat cushions on June 9 (presented by Feather Falls Brewery), sunglasses on July 1, cowbells on July 14 (presented by Chick-fil-A), and mascot bobbleheads on August 2.
There will be several entertainment acts this summer including Mad Chad the chainsaw juggler or Friday, June 2, the Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate on July 1, the ZOOperstars on July 3, and BBoy McCoy the Break Dancing Bat Boy on July 4.
Additionally, there will be five recurring promotions this season: Senior Sundays presented by Summerset Senior Living with free Ice Cream Sandwiches to the first 150 Fans and Sunday Funday where Kids Eat Free and current and retired Military get in free with valid I.D.; Eat More Chicken Mondays presented by Chick-fil-A Pleasant Grove with one Free Chicken Sandwich Voucher for all Fans in attendance; Loomis Basin Brewery $2 Tuesdays with $2 12oz beers, Soda, and Water; Weiner Wednesday with $1 hot dogs (Excludes August 2), Thirsty Thursdays with $2 12oz beers , Soda, and Water will be held every Thursday except Opening Night.
Gates will open one hour before the start of each game with Monday through Thursday games starting at 7:05 p.m., Friday and Saturday games starting at 7:35 p.m., and Sunday games starting at 6:05 p.m. The only exclusion is the Fourth of July game that falls on a Tuesday will start at 6:05 p.m.
SEASON TICKETS, MINI-PLANS, AND GROUPS
Season Tickets and Mini-Plans are on sale now. Full-Season Tickets start at just $149 and Mini-Plans can be purchased for as low as $30. Group outings in the VIP Area known as The Kiln start at $16/person for all-you-can-eat and drink.
