Potters Fall In the 8th

The Potters blew a 9-0 lead, heading into the third inning Wednesday night. Healdsburg started the game slow, went on a 13-0 run starting in the third leading them to a 16-14 victory. In the bottom of the 1st inning Daniel Susac singles to third, scoring two, giving the Potters a 2 run lead. Later that inning, Nolan Young doubles to left bringing in two more. Bushling, Lopez and Buglino, all single, tallying RBI’s. The Packers caught a second wind in the third and fourth inning, bringing in five to start their rally. Defense of miscues and walks helped plead the case tonight in Healdsburg’s rally. The Prune Packers capitalized on every opportunity they had making the Potters pay. From the third inning to the 6th inning, 13 runs were unanswered. The Potters battled back to take the lead in the 7th, starting with three walks, a hit by pitch, and a clutch double by Anders Green to take the lead 14-13. In the 8th inning, the Prune Packers continued to make every opportunity count, bringing in three to retake the lead. The Potters are now 4-2, where they will have a four game road series against the Solano Mudcats and one game at the Redding Colt 45s. The Potters will be back in town on June 13th, for Thirsty Thursday playing a four game series against the San Francisco Seals.
