POTTERS MAKE LEGENDARY HIRE

Lincoln, CA - The Lincoln Potters have hired Potters Legend Eli Garcia to be the field manager for the 2025 season. Garcia, a Lincoln native, played parts of five seasons for the Potters from 2017 to 2021.

“We are excited to bring Eli back to the Potters organization as the skipper. He’s a Potters Legend that we witnessed grow as a player and now we can’t wait to watch him lead this team and grow as a coach” President and General Manager Matt Lundgren.

After graduation from Lincoln High School in 2016, Garcia continued playing collegiately at Sierra College then later transferred to Cal State Northridge where he spent a season on the pitching staff for the Matadors. Following his college career, he began helping evolve young ball players with the local youth development team, the Peloteros. Garcia was then hired as the head coach of Roseville High School’s Varsity baseball team prior to the 2024 spring season where he led Tigers to a 17-9-1 record in his first season. 

“I’m very honored and humbled to be able to wear Lincoln across my chest again” Garcia exclaimed. “I want to thank the Potters organization for the opportunity. I truly believe this is one of the best places to spend your summer as a player and I’m excited for the new wave of players to witness how much Lincoln loves their Potters” he added.

Garcia has hit the ground running with his creating his staff and recruiting a talented roster of local and out-of-state players. stay tuned for an upcoming announcement regarding the coaching staff.

2025 SEASON

The 2025 Season will be the ninth-consecutive summer of Potters Baseball at Historic McBean Stadium. We have new merchandise, promo nights, and giveaways cued up to make 2025 another fantastic season at The ‘Bean. Partnering with Gladding, McBean since the true inaugural season in 1923, other local partners and community support have kept the Potters alive and we thank you, the fans, immensely!
