17 Strikeouts Carry Potters to 13-1 VictoryAdan Perez pitched a scoreless 6 innings to lead the Potters to their 13-1 victory over league rivals, the Solano Mudcats. In his 6 innings Perez had 11 strikeouts and only gave up 4 hits. Luke Kalfsbeek and Perry Kyles finished out the last 3 innings of the game combining for another 6 strikeouts.
The Lincoln Potters (34-15, 14-11) were also dominant from the plate with 13 runs and 14 hits, 5 of them for extra bases. Luke Mansy, Anson Aroz, Eli Small, Quincy Malbrough, and Drew Andrews all had multiple hits. Seven different Potters drove in runs tonight. Aroz, Malbrough, and Cole Dillon each had an RBI. Small, Kyuss Gargett, and Trey Furrey each had 2 RBI. Andrews had 3 RBI tonight, 2 of them coming from his 2 run homerun on the 6th inning.
With the win tonight the Potters only need one more win to clinch a spot in the Pacific Empire League playoffs.
The Potters are back at McBean Stadium tomorrow for the second game of their series against the Solano Mudcats. Tomorrow is also Star Wars night with a jersey auction and fireworks. Gates open at 5:00pm and first pitch is at 6:05pm. Potter up! |
