Potters Grand Slam Breaks Open Game

Potters Grand Slam

A Lincoln grand slam by Drew Andrews in the 7th inning broke open the game to give the Potters the 11-3 victory over league rivals, the West Coast Kings. Until the 4 run bomb, the game was close with the Kings tying up the game right after the Potters had taken the lead on 2 separate occasions.

The Lincoln Potters (31-13, 11-10) were on fire from the plate tonight with a total of 15 hits, 3 of them being for extra bases. Luke Mansy, Jason Hanson and Cole Dillon all had 2 hits and 2 RBI apiece. Kyuss Gargett had three hits tonight going 3-3.

Lincoln’s pitching staff also had a solid game tonight with Ryan Castillo, Luke Kalfsbeek, and Cam Staton on the mound. Relievers Kalfsbeek and Staton pitched a scoreless 5 inning to close out the game, only giving up 2 hits.

The Potters are back at McBean Stadium tomorrow night to finish out their series against the West Coast Kings. It is also Christmas in July, Cider Saturday and fireworks! Gates open at 5:30pm and first pitch is at 6:35pm. Potter up!
