Levi Sotomayor (Sac City) did his best Shoehi Ohtani impression, he was the starting pitcher as well as hitting second in the lineup. The Knicks were able to work across an early run, via a sacrifice fly from John Holtz. 

Sotomayor settled in, striking out the side to end the third inning. His final line was three innings of work, two earned runs, two walks, and five strikeouts. He followed with a 2-5 day at the plate, driving in two runs.

The game turned into a back and forth battle as we entered the fourth inning. Brandon Springer (William Jessup) got the inning started for the Potters, as he roped a double to left center field. Jeric Curtis (Texas Tech) attempted to steal second base, but a throwing error from first baseman Joey Taddie allowed Springer to score, and all runners advanced. 

Landon Weiss (William Jessup) came to the plate in a first and third situation, and perfectly executed a safety squeeze to give the Potters a 3-2 lead. Aiden Isola (Sac City) and Levi Sotomayor (Sac City) both followed with RBI singles of their own, to extend the Potter lead to 5-2 after four innings. 

Eric Vasser (Sac City) made his Potters debut today. He took over in the top of the fourth inning. The Knicks were able to muster across four runs against Vasser in the fifth inning, which gave them a 6-5 advantage. 

The Potters quickly responded with a rally of their own. A Landon Weiss (William Jessup) walk set up an RBI single opportunity for Aiden Isola (Sac City). A double for Levi Sotomayor (Sac City) scored one, which put the Potters ahead 8-7. 

The Knicks were able to take the lead on a Jack Campbell two run single. It put the Knicks lead at 10-8. Jeric Curtis (Texas Tech) had the play of the game, cutting off a slicing line drive in the gap, and making a sliding catch to save two more Knick runs. 

The back and forth action began to slow down as we approached the later innings. Gabe Maya (LMU) entered the game in the top of the seventh inning and slowed down the Knicks bats. His final line was two innings, one walk, one hit, and one strikeout. 

The Potters bats went cold towards the end of the game. They were held scoreless for the final four innings, which resulted in a 10-8 loss. The Potters drop the final two games of the series, to put them at 1-2 on the season.
