Potter Offense Explodes to Kick-Off Weekend SeriesThe Potters’ offense came to play on Friday night for owner, Clifton Taylor's birthday celebration. Lincoln scored 20 runs on the night and at least one run in every inning except for the 7th inning. Better Baseball scored a run in the top of the 1st and then the Potters offense responded with 5 runs on a variety of singles and doubles from the team. While Miller would not allow another run till the 5th inning, the Potters would score 13 unanswered runs before Better Baseball got their 2nd run of the game. Ian Miller followed Kris Bow’s excellent start against the Gold Sox with an excellent start of his own. Going 6 innings while allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits and 6 strikeouts. He got the victory for Lincoln in the weekend opener. Potters pitching has started to find itself in the last few games. Potters would score 7 more runs after 5th inning and win the game 20-3. The Potters offense reached base 33 times in 57 plate appearances. Meaning, they reached base more than they didn’t, an impressive feat in a single game. The Potters improve to 10-3 Keshawn Ogans led the team in hits for the game, with 3 hits including a double. Jorge Bojorquez, Daniel Susac, Charles Middleton, and Trey Furrey all picked up 2 hits as well. Mason Weathers, who entered the game as a replacement, hit the only home run of the night for the Potters offense. The Potters offense was just an unrelenting force of discipline and contact on the night. Bojorquez had 4 RBI on the night as well to lead the Potters offense. Hunter Hayes pitched 2 innings of relief and struck out 4 in those 2 innings. Mr. Taylor appreciates the gift the Potters gave him on Friday night.
