Lincoln Potters Name First Manager

Lincoln, CA— The newly revived Lincoln Potters have named Eric Bloom as their manager for the team’s inaugural season in the Great West League.  The Pierce College (Los Angeles) assistant coach and San Fernando Valley native looks to bring back a winning tradition to Lincoln.

"I'm looking forward to bringing a rich baseball tradition and quality baseball team back to the town of Lincoln,” said Bloom.

Bloom is a graduate of Cleveland High School (2005) in Reseda and spent a year at Cal Poly Pomona before transferring to Pierce College in order fulfill his dream of playing collegiate baseball.  After two seasons with the Brahmas, Eric transferred once more, this time to Colorado State University-Pueblo where he finished his college career.

After graduation, Bloom played for several independent teams, culminating in a championship with the Edinburg Roadrunners (Texas) of United League Baseball in 2012.  Eric subsequently took an assistant coaching job at Pierce, where he continues to coach.

In addition to his coaching duties with Pierce, Bloom has also worked as the skipper for the So-Cal Phillies, a travel team featuring top-level high school talent, for the past three years.
