Manager Ryan Stevens Steps Down as Skipper

Lincoln, CA - The Lincoln Potters have announced that long-time Potters manager Ryan Stevens has stepped down from his position after a 5-year run that concluded with a 2022 West Coast World Series Championship in August.

“It has been a privilege to have Ryan leading the Potters the past five years” Potters Owner Clifton Taylor on Ryan’s departure. “In addition to elevating the player talent we bring in each year, he has been a leading member in our region’s baseball community. We are excited to see his career develop and very thankful to his family for allowing him to make the commitment to us that he did” added Taylor.

Stevens took over as skipper of the Potters in 2018 and led them to 5-consecutive winning seasons, totalling over 100 wins, three playoff appearances, and a West Coast World Series Championship.

“Over the past five seasons Lincoln has been home to me and my family. The Potters organization is first class in every way” Stevens said. “Ownership has always gone out of its way to make things the best for both the players and coaches” he added.

Although he won’t be coaching on the field this summer, Stevens plans on being involved in any way that he can. He will serve as the Potters Recruiting Coordinator for the 2023 Season and will work with the coaching staff to help assemble another championship caliber roster.

“I will miss everything about the fans/players/organization,” stated Stevens. “For me, stepping away from Field Manager is all for my family. It’s time to spend quality time with them.”

“This is not goodbye, it’s a see you in the stands,” Stevens exclaimed. “Potter Up!”

Stay tuned for an announcement unveiling the Potters new Skipper and coaching staff.
