The first-place Medford Rogues came to town on Friday and have won two of three games so far in this four-game series.

On Saturday, the Potters and Rogues had a doubleheader to make up for a game in June. In the first game of the day, only seven innings of work, the Potters beat the Rogues with a score of 3-0. Isaiah Garcia hit his fourth home run of the season going 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored on the game. Will Law also contributed to the runs scored and went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. On the mound was Brett Swartz and Zach Hoffman combined for a complete-game two-hit shutout.

But on Saturday night, the Rogues took game three winning 5-0 with the help of Rogues’ pitcher Scotty Wright pitching a perfect game. He had a total of 14 strikeouts in his seven innings of work.

The Potters look to tie the series against the Rogues tonight at McBean Stadium at 6:05 pm in the fourth, and final, game of the series. The Potters (33-20) are five games back from first place in the Great West League and remain in second place with the Chico Heat only one game back in third place.
