Potters Lose Game One to the Pickles

The Potters late rally in the ninth inning wasn’t enough to overcome the Portland Pickles, who won 12-11 in game one of the three-game series last night.

The Potters’ offense was highlighted by two home runs courtesy of Isaiah Garcia and Zach Hoffman. I. Garcia went 2-for-4 on the night with three runs scored and an RBI and Hoffman went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Also adding to the Potters’ 11 runs was Will Law who went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Zach Hall who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and and three runs scored and Austen Swift who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Johnathan Lavallee got the start on the mound pitching five innings while allowing three runs, one earned, on three hits , walking two and striking out three.

The Potters (30-18) remain in second place in the Great West League, now four games back from the Medford Rogues. Game two of the series against the Pickles is tonight at McBean Stadium with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
