Potters Beat the Rogues 9-6 in Series Opener Win

The Lincoln Potters held on to their early lead throughout the game to beat the Medford Rogues, 9-6, in game one of three in the series.

Braden De Benedictus led the Potters’ offense going 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Zach Hoffman went 2-for-5 with an RBI, Jake Boyd went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run, Derek Molina went 1-for-4 with an RBI, walk and two runs, Austen Swift went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two walks, Ambrose Romero went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored and Will Law went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, two walks and two runs scored.

On the mound, Nathan Gilman got the start and the win pitching five complete innings while allowing three runs on six hits, two walks and striking out three. Hoffman got his second save of the season allowing no runs in his one inning of work.

There are still tickets available for game two against the Medford Rogues tonight at McBean Stadium at 7:35 p.m. Gates open an hour prior so come on down and celebrate Star Wars night with your Potters!
