Potters Sweep Kings

The Potters take the win on the nation’s Independence Day, 12-2. The Potters offense was electric in the 2nd inning, scoring 7 runs. Michael Shoenberge got the scoring started with a 2 run-homerun to right field. After loading the bases, Daniel Susac lined a single up the middle to score 2 more runs. Charles Middleton followed with a single a few pitches later and to give the Potters their 5th run of the inning. Nathan Martorella but the exclamation point on the inning with a double off the wall to score 2 more runs. The Kings would score single runs in both the 3rd and 6th innings. The Potters would add 5 runs in the 7th and 8th innings including a long home run from Jorge Bojorquez. The Potters would hold the score at 12-2. The Potters improve to 4-2 on the young season.

Jake Frederick set the tone of the game on the mound in the win. He went 4 innings only allowing 1 run on 3 hits, 4 strikeouts, and 2 walks. Potters pitching would only one more run on the night and struck out 10 hitters on the night including 3 from the winning pitcher Cody Jensen. Daniel Susac continues to dominate the plate, as he picked up 3 more hits on the game. Charles Middleton collected another hit and has 3 RBI in his last 2 games. Jorge Bojorquez collected 2 hits and remains hot at the plate to start the year. Potters hitters racked 12 hits in the game and only allowed 5 hits in the game.
