Potters Give Kryptonite to PUF Caps

On a cool Superhero Friday night at McBean Stadium, the Potters defeat the PUF Caps 6-3, thanks to a three-run home run from Matt Lopez. Th starting pitcher for the Potter was Luke Hargis, who picked up the win throwing 5.1 innings, allowing just two runs on four hits and striking out seven PUF Cap batters. PUF Caps starting pitcher, Josh White, gets the loss after giving up three runs in 3.1 innings. The first inning for the Potters has been a kryptonite and it continued again tonight, where the PUF Caps scored two early runs. The Potters did not fear, scoring six unanswered runs until the ninth inning. Matt Lopez had three RBI’s on the night, the first RBI coming in the first inning, scoring Zach Bushling (1-for-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 SB). Matt Lopez (1-for-4, HR, 3 RBI) continued to save the day, blasting a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Potters ‘Avengers’, Larry Fonseca, Jordyn Berry, and Lorenzo Debrecht each went 1-for-3 with an RBI on the night. The Potters are now 12-9-1 overall and look to win the series tomorrow night at 6:35 pm at McBean Stadium against the PUF Caps.
