Hot Bats end Losing Streak

The four game losing streak comes to an end Thursday night, as the Potters take game two against the nationally ranked Top Speed Baseball Program. The Potters hit the ball all up and down the lineup tonight tallying 14 total hits in the 12-6 victory. Zach Arnold (3-for-4, 2 RBIs, HR) and Lorenzo Debrecht (2-for-2, 2 RBIs, HR) got things started in the first inning with back-to-back hits. Zach Patterson (2-for-3, 3 RBIs) singles, scoring Debrecht and broke the 0-0 score in the first inning. Pattersons bat comes up big for a second time in the bottom of the second with a two RBI single; Potters up 7-0. Jake Frederick Lasts 4.67 innings, with five strikeouts and one walk. Frederick receives his third win of the summer, improving to 3-0 on the summer. The Nationally Ranked Top Speed manage to scratch across five runs in the fifth inning, but was not enough to make an impact. Kyle Orloff doubled bringing in one run shortly after a ground ball that blended in with the sun; that ground ball brought in two runs. The Potter home run power we have seen in the past peaked out a little in the sixth with back-to-back jacks from Arnold and Debrecht. Radd Thomas threw a scoreless ninth inning, shutting the door and finally ending the losing streak.
