Meet Your 2019 Lincoln Potters

 

 

LINCOLN, Calif. – The 2019 Lincoln Potters are excited to welcome back eight returning players from the 2018 team, along with 16 players from the Sacramento Area. The roster also features players from eight different states as well as a player from Canada.

 

Manager Ryan Stevens will have 17 pitchers, along with 10 outfielders, nine infielders and four catchers at his disposal when the Potters take the field this season.  

 

Local players returning to the Potters this season include left-handed pitcher Jakob Frederick (Antelope, CA), along with right-handed pitchers Tyler Gums (Auburn, CA) and Nolan Murphy (Roseville, CA). Matt Lopez (Auburn, CA) will also take the field for the Potters again after completing his sophomore year at Sierra College.

 

Also returning to the Potters this season include pitchers Tyler Cochran (Redding, CA) and Travis Parker (Aurora, CO). While Larry Fonseca (San Francisco, CA) and Zach Patterson (Livermore, CA) will once again take the field at McBean Park this summer.  

 

The Potters roster this year also features three players from Texas Tech. Left-handed pitcher Cade Farr (Fort Worth, TX), infielder Parker Kelly (Wichita Falls, TX) and outfielder Tanner O’Tremba (Parker, CO) are currently playing in the regional round of the 2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament and will join the Potters after the conclusion of their BIG 12 championship season.

 

Zach Arnold (Temecula, CA) will also join the squad for the summer before heading to the University of Oregon in the fall.  

 

Making their Potter debut this year are local-area pitchers Radd Thomas (Auburn, CA), Kale Stout (Rocklin, CA) and Grant Woodside (Roseville, CA), who all come to the team by way of Sierra College. While pitchers Keith Walker (Rocklin, CA) of Santa Clara University, Mitch Hart (Granite Bay, CA) of Cal State Pomona, Isaiah Rodriguez (Yuba City, CA) of William Jessup University and Nathen Lemos (Roseville, CA) of UC Davis will also be seeing time on the mound this summer.

 

Other local-area players include catchers Bryce Beauchamp (Loomis, CA) of Chico State, Andrew Buglino (Folsom, CA) of Biola University and Daniel Susac (Roseville, CA). Matt Clarke (Citrus Heights, CA) of Colorado Springs, Lane Field (Sacramento, CA) of San Jose State University and Mattie Thomas (Sacramento, CA) of CSU Northridge will surround the infield, while Jordan Berry (Roseville, CA) of San Jose State University and Jordan Yu (Elk Grove, CA) of William Jessup University will patrol the outfield for the Potters this summer.

 

Two players from Hawaii have also found their way to Lincoln, as Micah Yonamine (Honolulu, HI) of Illinois State University and Kana’ikai Gaughan (Honolulu, HI) of Mississippi Valley State join the Potters for the summer.

 

The Potters pitching staff is rounded out by Luke Hargis (White Lake, MI) of Grand Valley State, Brian Martinez (Livermore, CA) of CSU East Bay, Zach McQuaid (Oshawa, OT) of Sacramento State University, Tyler Mead (San Jose, CA) of Biola University and Ian Miller (Sequim, WA) of Yakima Valley College.

 

While Zach Bushling (Lake Isabella, CA) of UCONN, Anders Green (Silverton, OR) of William Jessup University, Alex Athanacio (San Mateo, CA) of UC San Diego, Lorenzo Debrecht (St. Louis, MI) of Sierra College, Connor Franco (Riverside, CA) of William Jessup University, Jake Plecas (Flagstaff, AZ) of Utah Valley State and Nolan Young (Gas City, IN) of Illinois State completes the position players.
