Potters Record Setting Season Recap

The 2018 Lincoln Potters finished up their season this weekend. The team set a new franchise record for wins with 37 and ended the year with a record of 37-21-1. The Potters were dominant offensively leading the Great West League in home runs with 68, which is a Great West League record. The Potters also set records in runs scored with 522, RBI with 452, and walks with 383. The Potters had an explosive offense all year long that could hurt any team's pitching staff. 

The Potters set some new team records as well with 482 strikeouts by Potters breaking the old team record of 402. The Potters stole 110 based breaking the old record of 99. 

On an individual player's note, Will Law had a monster season leading the Great West League in home runs with 13, and RBI with 54 RBI. Law was just one home run shy of tying the single season record for home runs in the Great West League. However, Will Law holds the career record for home runs with 20 in his Great West League career as well as RBI with 122 career RBI. 

Jakob Frederick set the team record in strikeouts with 43 this past year. Frederick was the Potters most consistent starter all season long and the Potters will look to him in the playoffs to keep up his production. 

The Potters are scheduled to begin playoffs tonight in Medford for a 3 game series against the Rogues that will come back to Lincoln tomorrow night and Tuesday night if necessary. You can buy tickets to Monday night's game here: Tickets
