Potters are unable to avoid sweep

Middleton goes 2-3 with an RBI triple.

The Potters lost on Wednesday night 9-4. The Rogues scored in 3 consecutive innings with 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the third, and 2 in the fourth which would end up being enough for the Rogues thanks to Chase Spinning out of the Rogues bullpen who came on in the 4th inning with nobody out and the bases loaded. Spinning then got a pop out, a strikeout, and a weak ground ball back to him to end the rally and limit the damage to just one run in that inning. Spinning worked 4 innings out of the bullpen, allowed 3 hits, 1 run, no walks, and 5 strikeouts. He ended up getting the win in the game. The Potters fall out of 2nd place and are now 15-11 while the Rogues improve to 16-11 and are now in 2nd place.

Nathan Gilman took the loss in the game as he worked 3 and a third innings allowing 10 hits 5 runs, 4 earned, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. James Hayden Nabers made his season debut and was great out of the bullpen working 2 and two thirds innings allowing 2 hits, no runs, 1 walk, and struck out 2 hitters.

Charles Middleton, Austen Swift, and Jack Rotteveel all picked up 2 hits and RBI in the game. Jack Rotteveel had 2 RBI while both Middleton and Swift only had 1.

The Potters will be in Marysville for a 3 game weekend series this weekend before returning home for a 4th of July showdown with the first place Chico Heat.
